Merry Music

With a live DJ working the music, your crew will not have to worry about music that does not set the mood. Our DJ can get the crowd involved on those skates (think Hokey Pokey and the Chicken Dance) or get people skating with Christmas classics. Whatever your music needs are, we will accomodate for your customized private party. We should also mention that this could be a fun opportunity for karaoke!

Say No to Potluck

Potlucks can be fun and adventurous, but why ask your employees to cook? And let’s admit it, with a potluck the balance is always off. Either there are too many salads and not enough main dishes, or the luck of the potluck wasn’t so great as nothing is appetizing. Avoid these unappetizing situations and take advantage of our snack bar options. Your employees will gladly say no to the cold cuts and yes to the pizza, nachos, slushies, and fried dough. We also assist with catering other menus as well.

Everyone Has Fun

Let’s just say that your guests won’t want to roller skate. We’ve got a video game arcade and laser tag as well. No one will be left out, and everyone will have fun. We don’t know about you, but these options beat sitting around the break room and exchanging white elephant gifts.

Roller Skating has been a favorite childhood pastime for years. In fact, the first roller skate was patented in France in 1819. The skates didn’t look much like the skates kids use today. Their design was very basic and the skates were only able to move forward. Turning was also very difficult. Skates have come a long way since then, but it’s fun to revisit the past with a decades themed party!

The styles of skates and music that’s played may have changed, but the sport has changed little. Because of that, big kids “at heart” are glad when their child wants a roller skating party. It means a chance to lace up some skates and boogie down like a kid again.

Roller Skating Rink Birthday Parties

Kids love roller skating parties because they’re super fun. Parents love the parties because they’re super easy. Everything is provided and there is no clean-up. Parents can relax and enjoy the memories or even participate in skating too.

Roller skating birthday parties often require a reservation. When your child decides that’s the party s/he wants, call Roller Kingdom right away. Roller Kingdom provides party packages that include different variations of the following:

Parents are allowed to bring in their own cake and party goods to match the child’s party theme.

Roller skating is a wonderful past time. It is exhilarating to skate down around the rink and gain speed. Roller skating is also a great way to increase your physical activity and benefit your cardiovascular and muscular health. In order to keep roller skating, you need to make sure that you prioritize taking care of your skates. Here are three tips for keeping your roller skates problem free.

Skate Bearings

The bearings of your roller skates are made of metal. Like any other metal object, your bearings need to be kept free of rust and corrosion. The best way to do this is to keep your bearings clean and dry. After you have spent a lot of time skating carefully remove and inspect your bearings. Clean any grime or accumulated rust with rubbing alcohol. Do not use dish washing soap to clean your bearings; this leaves a film that makes it difficult for the bearings to function normally.

Stinky Skates

If you enjoy roller skating frequently, you may find that your skates begin to build up odor from your sweat. In order to manage the odor, you should pay particular attention to the insole of the boot. Roller skates can be aired out in sunlight just like ice skates; make certain that you leave the boot unlaced in order to let the sunlight and clean air carry the foul odor away. You can also clean the insole of your boot with a baking soda mixture.

Smooth Ride

Skating on loose wheels can be hazardous because they take away from your ability to control your momentum and direction. Therefore it is important to adjust and tighten your wheel nuts every couple of weeks. The wheel nuts keep the wheels of your skates in place. Tighten your wheel nuts so that the wheels roll smoothly and not in a wild or restricted manner.

Owning a pair of roller skates is an investment, and it is important to be aware of the condition of your roller skates. It is a spooktacular time of year! At Roller Kingdom, we’ll be welcoming all goblins, ghosts, and ghouls to join us for our Halloween Parties. Put on your scariest, funniest, and silliest costumes because we’ll celebrate each party with an out of this world costume contest with prizes so great you won’t want to miss it!

Teen Halloween Party

If you are in your teen years, then we’ve got a party just for you! Join us at Hudson Roller Kingdom from 7-10pm on the 24th of Oct. or at the Tyngsboro Roller Kingdom from 7-11pm also on the 24th. Costumes are not required, but if you participate in our contest you will have the chance to win a free year of skating at Roller Kingdom and a pair of brand new roller skates! This is up to a $300 value!

Kids Halloween Party

We welcome those younger than teens and their adults to join us for a Halloween Party on Sunday Oct. 26th from 1pm-5pm at both locations. We’ve got the same great first prize available at our kids costume party! Even though costumes are optional, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to win the grand prize!

In case you didn’t already know, October is National Roller Skating Month! This makes us really excited about skating (as if we weren’t already!), and we wanted to challenge you to learn something new!

At Roller Kingdom, we believe that there is always something to learn. Perhaps one of our favorite moments in proving this was when the New Hampshire Chronicle came out to check out what we’ve been up to!

We’ve got plenty of lesson opportunities for learners and skaters of all ages. Check out the great opportunities at both the Hudson Roller Kingdom and at the Tyngsboro Roller Kingdom. Don’t forget that skating is no longer just skating! Part of the challenge may involve a different skating style!

Artistic Skating

If you’ve ever enjoyed watching Olympic Figure Skating, then consider trying your hand (or your feet) at artistic skating! Both of our rinks have an involvement in artistic skate, and our clubs have even made it to the nationals!

Jam Skating

If you love to get your jam on with music, then try getting your jam on with skates. Some compare this to breakdancing on skates. Whatever you see it as, it is definitely a unique combination of breakdancing, hip hop, skating, and dancing. Check out the moves of our local jam skaters here:

While most people look at October and think of all things fall, we think of all things roller skating at Roller Kingdom! We love to take the opportunity for this month long observation to promote the love we have for all of the different types of skating within the sport!

National Roller Skating Month was started in 1983 to promote the fun and fitness associated with roller skating. This month, to help promote fun and fitness, we’ve got a few fun things planned!

Ninja Turtle Skate

School will be out on Columbus Day, but you can come here to hang with your friends and a TMNT! We’ll have Sewer Juice and other fun filled activities to celebrate this day!

Halloween Parties

Join us for one of our Halloween Costume Parties! Teens are welcome to come out on Friday, October 24th and the younger ones are welcome to join us on Sunday, October 26th. Come dressed in your most creative Halloween costume because we’ve got some amazing prizes for you! Third place winners will walk away with a pair of skates (valued up to $150), second place will walk away with a year of free skating passes, and first place will hit the jackpot with a year of free skating passes and a choice of free skates (up to $300 value)!

Of course throughout the month we will be hosting our regular sessions and events in Tyngsboro and Hudson. Since it is National Roller Skating Month it’s a great time to learn to skate, or dive in a little deeper by joining one of our Artistic Skating Teams. Q: What two things do the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Christopher Columbus have in common?

A: Their Italian roots and Roller Kingdom!

Yes, perhaps we are stretching this just a little bit, but all four turtles are named after Italian painters or artists (Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello), and Columbus was an Italian explorer. These fictional turtles and historical figure have their roots in common, but they also share a connection with Roller Kingdom.

Columbus Day commemorates the landing of Christopher Columbus. It just so happens to be that the Tyngsborough Public Schools and Hudson Public Schools are closed on Columbus Day as are many banks and government institutions. Roller Kingdom is not closed on this day! Instead, Tyngsboro and Hudson rinks and laser tag arenas will be open.

Not only will we be open, but we may have some special green visitors visiting us on Columbus Day as well! This is your chance to party with a Ninja Turtle! We realize that we may be stretching the common points a bit, but since we made the connection we thought we would have fun with it!

Special Pizza Options

If you are wanting to keep with the theme and Italian commonality, then celebrate with special pizza options.  We will have pizza toppings that we don’t normally offer, and that is all the more reason to come on out to our Columbus Day Skate. We will have special pizza options just for you on this fun-filled day of no school!

Face Painting

Since this is a special Day Skate, we wanted to add a little extra fun. Face painting will be available in addition to roller skating, laser tag, and video games. You can request to have your face painted like a ninja turtle or choose from a few other simple designs.

Free Pizza Slice and Small Drink

We know some of you love to get into the spirit of things and take themes as far as you can. For this reason, we want to add a little extra challenge to you. Come to Roller Kingdom on Monday, Oct. 13 dressed like your favorite turtle and you’ll get a free pizza slice and small drink. It’s a win!

Come on out on Columbus Day and party with a Ninja Turtle! Our skate is from 1-5pm, admission is $8, and skate rental is $1 extra. Parents, you get free admission, and skate rental is $3. We can’t wait to see you out for this fun-filled skating session!

It’s Friday, you’ve worked hard all week, and the last thing you want to do is cook. You are ready to celebrate your TGIF! The kids feel the same way! After all it’s Friday, they don’t have school tomorrow, and they want to go hang out with friends. Ready for the solution? It’s the Friday After School Supper Skate at Roller Kingdom! Every friday from 4-6:30pm we are here ready to help you get your TGIF started with our Friday After School Supper Skate. Doesn’t matter if you prefer Tyngsboro or Hudson, cause we’ve got it going on at both! Let’s break it down a little and further share the benefits of what we have to offer.

After School

Friday is the only day of the week that we are open in the afternoon. We do offer a Wednesday night skate in Tynsgboro, but that’s another story. Anyway on Friday we open at 4:00pm to accommodate those that are already out of school, and parents that have the opportunity to end their work days a little early. Admission is $6 and that includes skate rental!

Supper Skate

We’ve got to tell you that our when we say Supper Skate, we mean you get supper and you get to skate! All for the same price. That $6 includes admission, skate rental, and supper. Your meal includes a slice of pizza and an ice cold Pepsi product. We think that’s a pretty good deal for $6.

Additional Things

If you’re wanting to do more than just skate and dine, then consider throwing in a game of laser tag for $5. Or you can wow the crowd with your karaoke singing. We’ve also got an arcade in which you can win tickets for prizes. There is plenty to do at Roller Kingdom during our Friday After School Supper Skate.

If you find that you are enjoying yourself so much and want to stay for our Friday night late skate sessions, then you are welcome to do so. Hudson reopens for our late skate 7-10pm sesh or $7 and Tyngsboro reopens for the late skate sesh from 7-11pm for $8.

The kids are back to school and fall sports are underway. This may be enough to make parents and sports fans celebrate. At Roller Kingdom, we are looking ahead to the end of the season. When the fall sports season reaches its end, where will the end of season banquet or party be held? We suggest Roller Kingdom!

Our skating rinks in Tyngsboro and Hudson provide plenty of space for your team to celebrate the season. The entire football team along with all friends and family members can easily fit into our 25,000 square foot facility. This is also true for the cross country, soccer, golf, cheer, and field hockey teams. We know you’ll need lots of space to celebrate and space is something we can definitely offer.

In addition to space, we’ve got plenty for your team to do to celebrate throughout your time at Roller Kingdom. You can lace up your skates and continue on the competition with some of our skating games. Or you can grab a vest and laser tag gun and see who will be the champion in our laser tag arena. Maybe you’d rather try your luck at a crane game, skee ball, or other game; we have plenty of opportunity for you in our arcade.
