Skating

Of course we have skating at Roller Kingdom! We love to skate, and we love to have you out on the floor skating as well. Doesn’t matter if you wear quads or inlines, and it doesn’t matter if you are beginning or advanced. Wherever you are as a roller skater, we are here for you. So put on those skates, and skate away any summer boredom that may have set in!

Laser Tag

When we say, “Tag, you’re it!” at Roller Kingdom, we are not talking about a traditional game of tag! Instead, we are talking about laser tag. Whether you choose to team up and go it alone, this is a great adrenaline rush!

Games

We hope that at this point that you’ve got some great ideas for exciting activities at Roller Kingdom. However, if you are still feeling stuck, then maybe our game center is the place for you. Take on the challenge and try your luck with our racing games, crane games, and more! Don’t forget to cash in on your tickets at our stuff shop!

Whether you buy your skates from Roller Kingdom or you buy your own skates, you want them to last as long as possible. Follow these following maintenance tips and your skates will continue to operate in top form for years to come.

When you first receive your skates, perform an initial maintenance check.

• Make sure the wheels are properly attached, the nut in the wheel is firmly screwed in and there’s no give between wheel nut and wheel.
• If your skate is a quad, check to make sure the toe stop is adjusted to your preferred height.
• For quads, you’ll also want to check the tightness of the truck (the place between the wheels) and tighten that bolt as well.

After every skating session, check the wheels, wheel nuts and bearings.

• Make sure the wheels of your roller skates have not become loose; tighten them if they have. A loose ride is a dangerous ride so keep your wheels tight.
• Ensure the bearings are not wet. Wet bearings will rust or corrode. All grime or rust should be cleaned with rubbing alcohol; do not use dish soap. Dish soap will damage your bearings.

When necessary, perform additional roller skate maintenance.

• When your ride is less smooth, check the wheel bearings. Some skate dealers have wheel presses that will remove the bearings, but you can also use a screw driver. If your roller skate bearings don’t spin well, they need to be lubricated.
• Once the bearings are removed, you can wash your wheels in hot water with dish soap. (Dish soap damages bearings.) After your skates are completely dry, you can put the bearings back in.
• Smell can be eliminated with fresh air and sunlight. Leave the insoles of your skates fully exposed to the sun to remove odor. Baking soda may also prove a viable remedy.

If you take the time to care for your roller skates, they will last for years and be smooth riding for a long time. If you invest the time into roller skate maintenance, you won’t have to invest the money into a new pair of skates.

Say it five times FAST! Family, friends, and fun, are fantastic at Friday Supper Skate! Could you do it? Whether you could or not, we want to make sure you know all about our Friday Supper Skate sessions at both locations.

Friday Supper Skate is from 4:00-6:30. Admission, skate rental, a slice of pizza, and a soda are all yours for only $6. This is a great money saving way to have a fun filled dinner outing with family or friends.

Roller Kingdom offers a family friendly environment. We strive to make family time together at our world class roller skating rink affordable. The Friday Supper Skates at both locations is just one way that we do this.

Don’t forget that in addition to our fantastic Friday Supper Skate sessions, we are open throughout the week for private parties, birthday parties, corporate events, team building activities, and roller skating lessons. We are also proud to offer activities for families and groups in addition to roller skating. Laser tag, arcade games, and karaoke are available at both roller skating rinks.

With cake, presents, and friends, we know that birthday parties are joyful experiences in which memories are being made. However, we know that sometimes while birthdays bring joy for young ones, added stress may be felt on the family budget when planning a birthday party. 

Budgeting for birthday parties can be difficult. Determining an appropriate birthday party budget has been a topic on parenting blogs. At Roller Kingdom, we understand that this is a real stress, and we are proud to offer birthday party packages for up to 10 skaters for only $140 each. This price applies to our Deluxe Party Package when booked during our Spectacular Savings Sessions on Fridays from 4-6:30pm, Wednesdays from 6-9pm in Tyngsboro and Fridays from 4-6:30pm in Hudson.

The Deluxe Party Package is great for birthday parties and other celebrations. This party package includes admission, skate rental, choice of pizza or hot dog, Pepsi products, paper products, reserved table time, a free pass for future use, and 25 prize tickets. The special birthday guest gets a gift and 4 skating lessons.

Everyone has to start somewhere when they learn something new. At Roller Kingdom, we believe that roller skating is a fun activity that anyone can learn from tiny tot to adults!

Roller Kingdom Hudson’s Skating Club and Classes

Coaches Bob and Heidi are available at the Hudson Roller Kingdom to help everyone learn to skate. They can help beginners that simply want to learn new skills and gain confidence in their skating ability, and they also coach precision and synchronized skating teams that compete and are affiliated with USA Roller Sports and the Roller Skating Association (RSA).

Skating lessons are offered at the Hudson Roller Kingdom on Saturdays from 9:15-9:45am. This includes practice time after the lesson, and skate rental for only $45/month. A 20 minute session is offered on Monday nights from 6-6:20pm. This micro session does not include practice time afterward, but is offered for those looking for a weekday learning opportunity for only $25/month. The little ones are welcome to join the Tiny Tot Class on Thursday mornings for $5 per session; detailed information can be found on the Tiny Tot flier. Tyngsboro Lessons

Skating lessons are offered at the Tyngsboro Roller Kingdom on Saturday mornings from 9:30-10am. Private lessons are also available. Call Diane at 603-472-2228 for more information regarding Tyngsboro roller skating lessons.

Fantastic Fridays

Our Fridays start off with our Pizza Supper Skate at both rinks. This session runs from 4-6:30pm and includes rental skates, a slice of pizza, and Pepsi. All of this is just $6!

If you’re planning on coming out a little later, join us for our late sessions. You can catch the 7-11pm session in Tyngsboro or the 7-10pm session at Hudson. Admission including skate rental at both locations for our Friday late skate is just $8. These sessions are ideal for teen birthday parties!

Super Saturdays

Roll on in for Skating Fun for Everyone from 1-5pm at both of our Roller Kingdom roller skating rinks! This Saturday session is family friendly and takes place after our morning skating lessons.

If you’re looking for late night skating on a Saturday, visit our Tyngsboro location! We’re open from 7-11pm with the music blasting hip hop and top 40 hits!

Spectacular Sundays

We are open for Skating Fun for Everyone on Sundays as well. From 1-5pm join us during our family friendly session and remember that parent admission is free with a paid child’s admission!

Spring is here! And the spring sports season is well underway. At Roller Kingdom, we have been enjoying keeping up with the local scores and stats related to the various spring sports. Have you considered where to host your end of season banquet or celebration? We suggest Roller Kingdom!

Our skating rinks in Tyngsboro and Hudson provide plenty of space for your team to celebrate the season. The entire track and field team along with all friends and family members can easily fit into our facility. This is also true for the lacrosse, golf, soccer, baseball and softball teams. We know you’ll need lots of space to celebrate and space is something we can definitely offer.

Why is Roller Kingdom great for private parties?

In addition to space, Roller Kingdom has plenty for your sports team, family reunion, or corporate team to do in order to celebrate. You can lace up your skates and get in on the competition with some of our skating games. Or, you can try your luck against one another with a game of laser tag! Of course, our arcade is always a fun place to compete with yourself or with others as well.

While we’re happy to celebrate end of season parties, family reunions, and corporate events, we offer an additional service. We know that may parents, coaches, and students are looking forward to the next season when it comes to sports. For that reason we love to offer our rink as a sign up location! You’ll have a place to mingle with participants, parents can get to know each other, and everyone can get on out there and roller skate!
